Embark on an unforgettable 7-day journey through the heart of Greece, combining ancient history, mythology, culture, and stunning landscapes. Begin in Athens, the historic capital, with a visit to the iconic Acropolis and Acropolis Museum, before exploring some of the most important archaeological treasures of mainland Greece.
Travel through the Corinth Canal to Epidaurus, famous for its remarkably preserved ancient theatre, then continue to Nafplia and Mycenae, home to the legendary Tomb of Agamemnon. Discover Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, and explore its ancient temples, stadium, and archaeological museum.
Itinerary
Day 01 DAY 1: Athens
Arrival at Athens International Airport, assistance and transfer to the Hotel.
Day 02 DAY 2: Nauplia-Olympia
Depart from Athens for the Corinth canal (short stop). Drive to Epidaurus and visit the Ancient theatre. Proceed to Nauplia (short stop) and through the plain of Argos arrive to Myceane. Visit the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. In the afternoon (optional stop for souvenirs) depart for Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Overnight stay in Olympia.
Day 03 DAY 3: Olympia–Delphi
Visit the archaeological site with the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the archaeological Museum. Depart via Patras (short stop) to Rion, cross the Corinthian bay by the bridge to Antirion. Pass by the city of Nafpakros and from there on, along the coastal road to Delphi. In the afternoon visit the picturesque mountain village of Arachova. Overnight stay in Delphi.
Day 04 DAY 4: Delphi-Meteora
Visit the archaeological site and the Museum of Delphi. Depart for Kalambaka via Central Greece (short stop by Lamia). Overnight stay in Kalambaka (a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks and crowned by the Meteora Monasteries).
Day 05 DAY 5: Meteora–Athens
Leave in the morning for nearby Meteora to visit the Byzantine Monasteries. Return to Athens passing the heroic monument of Leonidas of Sparta at Thermopylae. Arrive in Athens and overnight stay
Day 06 DAY 6: Athens City Tour with New Museum
The Athens half-day tour, depart for a photo stop at Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896. Continue passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Schliemann’s House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Old Parliament, Constitution Square ,Russian Orthodox Church, and finally ACROPOLIS (visit Propylae, Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens). Continue with a pleasant short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysos Theater, in order to visit the Acropolis museum. Overnight in Athens.
Day 07 DAY 7: Athens-Airport
Breakfast and transfer to Athens International Airport at arranged time.
